TRCTYPNW indicates whether the respondent's current TRICARE policy covers a family, the policyholder and one other person, or the policyholder only.
TRICARE, formerly known as CHAMPUS, provides civilian health benefits for U.S. armed forces personnel, military retirees, and their dependents. Beginning in 2019, TRICARE is considered private coverage.
