Description
PTWEEKS reports the number of weeks that respondents worked part-time (less than 35 hours) during the preceding calendar year. It includes both employed persons whose usual number of working hours per week was less than 35 hours and those who usually worked full-time but who acknowledged working less than 35 hours during at least one week. Work weeks that were shortened due to time off with pay because of holidays, vacation days, or sickness were not to be counted.
Comparability
Apart from universe changes, this variable is comparable over time. WHYPTLY reports the reasons that respondents gave for working part-time during the previous calendar year.
