MOCAID is a 2-digit numeric value.

Description

MOCAID indicates the number of months of Medicaid coverage during the previous calendar year for persons who reported having health insurance through Medicaid or a state-specific Medicaid program at any time during the previous calendar year. From 1996 onward, recipients of Medicaid are identified in the CAIDLY and HIMCAIDLY variables.
