Description
MHMARLY indicates the year of the respondent's most recent marriage.
This variable is part of the CPS Fertility Supplement.
Comparability
MHMARLY is limited to ever-married women in all available samples, except for 1980 where ever-married men are included.
In 1980 and 1990, the MHMAR1Y variable includes women who have been married only once. These women also have values for "year of last marriage" (MHMARLY); for these cases, values of MHMAR1Y and MHMARLY are the same. In 1995, women who have been married only once are in-universe only for MHMARLY.

- Jun 1980: Persons 15-75 who have ever been married.
- Jun 1990 and Jun 1995: Persons 15-65 who have ever been married.
