KIDCPROBTIME is a 3 digit numeric variable.
Description
For households who reported problems obtaining child care that limited work hours (KIDCPROB), KIDCPROBTIME reports the number of time units that the respondent lost work time due to trouble finding child care. This variable should be used in conjunction with KIDCPROBUNT. Beginning with the 2026 ASEC, this variable is reported in days only.
Universe
- ASEC 2025 and ASEC 2026: Households that had problems finding childcare that limited work hours (KIDCPROB) and reported the unit of time lost (KIDCPROBUNT).
