Description

CWTIMNUM reports the number of units (see CWTIMUNIT) that the respondent expects to continue working with the current employer.

This variable is part of the Contingent Work Supplement.

Universe

  • 1995-1999: Civilians age 16+ who were employed, but not self-employed, did not change employers in the past week, and had a temporary job or did not report being able to keep their jobs indefinitely independent of external circumstances and job performance, who reported a unit of time they expected to continue working at their current job.
  • 2001-2005: Civilians in month-in-sample 1-3 or 5-7 age 16+ who were employed, but not self-employed, did not change employers in the past week, and had a temporary job or did not report being able to keep their jobs indefinitely independent of external circumstances and job performance, who reported a unit of time they expected to continue working at their current job.
