Description

For employed civilians age 15 and older who use a computer at work, CIWDBASE indicates whether the person idententified databases as one of the uses of their computer at work.

This variable is part of the Computer Internet Supplement.

Comparability

CIWDBASE is comparable for all available years.

In available years from 2001 on, there is a similar variable called CIWSPDB which combines the computer uses of databases and spreadsheets.
