Description

CINTLIB indicates whether or not the person accesses the internet at a public library. CINTLIBH indicates whether anyone in the household has accessed the internet at a public library.

This variable is part of the Computer Internet Supplement.

Comparability

Researchers should note the universe changes between samples.

Universe

  • Dec 1998 and Aug 2000: Civilians, age 3 or older, who access the internet outside the home.
  • Sep 2001 and Oct 2003: Civilians, age 3 or older, who access the internet.
  • Jul 2011: Persons who use the internet.
  • Jul 2013: Randomly selected civilian, age 3 or older, who use the internet and are in MISH 2-4 or 6-8.
  • Jul 2015, Nov 2017, Nov 2019, Nov 2021, and Nov 2023: Civilians age 3 or older.
