Description

For farm wage workers who also did non-farm work, AWNONFRMLNG indicates the number of days during the current year the respondent spent working at the nonfarm job they held for the longest time during this year.

Comparability

In samples prior to 1985, only those 14+ were included in questions regarding paid farm work. Beginning in 1985, children 8 to 13 years old were included in these questions. In 1985, those who did unpaid farm work are also included.

Universe

  • Persons 8+ who did any farm work even for one day, including operating a farm or unpaid farm work.
