For farm wage workers who also had non-farm jobs during the current year, AWNONFERN indicates the amount of earnings from these non-farm jobs.

- Dec 1977, Dec 1979, Dec 1981, and Dec 1983: Persons 14+ who did any farm work for cash wages or salary even for one day who also did nonfarm work.
- Dec 1985 and Dec 1987: Persons 14+ who did any farm work even for one day who also did nonfarm work.
