Description
CWHIEMPCLD indicates whether the employee could be on the health insurance plan provided by the employer (see CWHIEMPANY) if they wanted to be.
This variable is part of the Contingent Work Supplement.
Universe
- 1995-1999: Civilians age 16+ who were employed, but not self-employed, reported they did not have health insurance or that their insurance was not provided by their employer AND worked for an employer who offered health insurance plans.
- 2001-2005: Civilians in month-in-sample 1-3 or 5-7 age 16+ who were employed, but not self-employed, reported they did not have health insurance or that their insurance was not provided by their employer AND worked for an employer who offered health insurance plans.
- 2017: Civilians age 16+ who were employed, but not self-employed, reported they did not have health insurance or that their insurance was not provided by their employer AND worked for an employer who offered health insurance plans.
