Description
DPCOVLY indicates whether the respondent was covered by directly purchased private health insurance during the past year. Both private plans acquired through the Affordable Care Act insurance marketplaces (MRKCOVLY) and outside of those marketplaces (NMCOVLY) are included in the definition of direct-purchase.
