Description
DPTYPLY indicates whether a direct-purchase private insurance plan covered only the policyholder or also covered dependents, during the previous calendar year. Policyholders of direct-purchased insurance are identified in the DPOWNLY variable. Persons who had coverage from such a plan as dependents of a policyholder last year are identified in the DPDEPLY variable. Whether the policyholder's direct-purchase insurance covered someone living in another household is reported in DPOUTLY.
