JTSUPPWT is a 10-digit numeric variable. In the original data there are two implied decimals in 1983 and 1987, and four implied decimals in samples from 1996 onward. The IPUMS command files automatically make the necessary adjustment, so no further adjustment is needed.
Description
JTSUPPWT is the Job Tenure Supplement specific weight. Use JTSUPPWT for analyses using Job Tenure questions.
Users should note that this variable is not available for the January 1991 Job Tenure Supplement. The Census documentation recommends users to use WTFINL.
