This variable is part of the Computer Internet Supplement.

Comparability

Researchers are advised to pay close attention to universe changes between samples. In 1998 and 2000 CISCHCMP was only asked of civilians between the ages of 3 and 17, and therefore these samples are not as comparable with the others.

Universe

  • 1984-1997, 2003: Civilians, age 3 or older, enrolled in or attending regular school.
  • 1998-2000: Civilians ages 3-17.
  • 2001: Civilians aged 3-60, enrolled in or attending regular school.
