Description
EDHGCGED identifies the level of formal schooling those with no higher than a GED obtained before dropping out. Because of the limited universe, the highest grade (K-12) attended by GED earners who achieve higher educational attainment cannot be identified with this variable. The related variable, EDDIPGED, identifies GED earners from those with a traditional high school diploma.
